Ingredients

    Here is what you will need:

    1 lb. ground turkey (chicken or beef)

    1 medium size onion

    1 clove garlic, chopped

    2 T. wine

    5 cans stewed tomatoes

    1 T. basil

    2 t. Italian seasoning

    1/2 t. lemon pepper

    2 t. all-purpose seasoning

    1/2 t. allspice

    1/2 t. salt

    1/2 large bell pepper

    4-5 mushrooms

    2 T. fresh parsley, chopped or 1 t. dried

    1 small can tomato paste

    1/4 c. wine


Tips

P.S. Instead of stewed tomatoes you can choose tomatoes seasoned with basil and garlic or whatever tomatoes you like. Enjoy!


Directions

Brown meat, onion and garlic in a medium-large pot. When meat is cooked through, deglaze pan with 2 T. wine. Add the stewed tomatoes, spices, chopped pepper, mushrooms and parsley. Bring to a boil and simmer for 30 minutes. Then add the tomato paste and 1/4 c. wine. Allow to simmer for 1 1/2 hours.

Now it is ready to serve over your noodles of choice with a nice side salad!
