Introduction
This can be baked in an oven or in the microwave. It is a very moist, dense and delicious 2 inch bar. We like it with a tablespoon of vanilla yogurt on top of the cake served hot. Ingredients

2 cups peeled, diced apples mix into one cup half brown sugar. half brown sugar splenda
Mix the two together and let stand until the sugar dissolved.
After sugar is dissolved , add 1 egg to the mixture.
Sift together :
1/2 cup cracked wheat flour
1 /2 cup regular whole wheat flour
1 1/2 t. cinnamon
1 t. soda
Stir the dry ingredients into the apple mixture.
Add :
1/2 cup slivered almonds
1/2 cup raisins
Mix well.
Conventional oven:
Spray 8 x 8 inch pan with butter flavored spray nonstick oil. Pour batter into the pan and bake at 375 degrees for 40 minutes.
Microwave oven
Pour into an 8 inch square dish and cook on High for 4 minutes or until done.
Tips
Don't forget to add the calories of the yogurt if you use it on the apple cake bar.
