Ingredients

    15 oz. can asparagus, chopped, reserve liquid
    1 1/2 cups chicken broth
    1/4 tsp. dried marjoram
    1/2 tsp. onion powder
    1/4 tsp. garlic powder
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
    1/4 cup heavy cream
    1 T fresh parsley or 1/4 tsp. dried parsley
    1/2 tsp. iodized salt

Directions

Put the asparagus with its liquid and broth in a medium pot. Puree with an immersion blender until smooth. Add the seasonings and bring to a boil. Turn down the heat. Add the cream and parsley. Cook over low until just heated through. Add salt.

Serving Size: makes 2 large bowls
