Ingredients

    SARNITAS BOLIVIANAS
    120 gr manteca vegetal o de cerdo= 10T
    3 kilo of flour = 6.6 lb
    120 gr of sugar= 10.5T
    1 C of milk
    2 T of salt
    6 T fresh yeast or 3T dry yeast
    1 liter and a half of warm water
    1 Medium queso blanco
    1 huevo (slightly beaten)
    Put the yeast in a bowl with enough warm wáter and 1t of sugar. Let it sit for 10 minutes to rise.
    In another bowl mix the flour, crisco, sugar, salt, milk and yeast. Mix all the ingredients well and add the warm wáter a little at a time until you get a soft dough.
    Knead the dough enough to get a compact and uniform dough.
    Let it rise in a warm place for around 60 minutes until it duplicates its volume.
    Repeat this process about two more times.
    Make individual balls the size of your preference.
    Flatten the little balls and put them in individual baking pans. Put the flattened balls in and let them rise again.
    Crumble the cheese and add milk to it to make a paste-like consistency. Put some of this paste-like on top of each flattened ball. Brush the beaten egg mixture on top.
    Bake them at 475 degrees for 10-15 minutes or until they are golden brown.

Set oven to 475 degrees
Cook for 10-15 minutes
