Introduction

I have tried many recipes in an attempt to achieve Quest bar-like flavor and consistency but to no avail. With some experimentation I have arrived at this. Ingredients

    Soy Flour, 3 tbsp
*100% Whey Gold Standard Protein Powder (Vanilla), 2 serving
Stevia in the Raw, 2 serving
    Salt, 1 dash
Vanilla extract, imitation, alcohol, 2 tsp
Hershey's Special Dark Chocolate Chips, 1 tbsp
Honey, 2 tbsp (or preferably Vitafiber Probiotic Syrup)
    Water, tap, 1 fl oz

Tips

Substitutions: Soy flour can be substituted for almond or oat flour but this mak reduce protein content and increase total calories.
Honey can be substituted with brown rice syrup, agave, or preferably Vitafiber probiotic syrup (this is what is used in Quest Bars).

Directions

Mix all ingredients besides water in a bowl thoroughly until a clumpy dough consistency is reached. If the dough is too dry and will not mix add water a few drops at a time. Do not add too much water! The mix will become too runny and sticky to make bars.
Once the mixture is the consistency of this cookie dough, place all dough on either wax paper or plastic wrap with a thin sprinkling of soy flour.
Cover with another sheet and roll until 1/4 inch flat.
Remove the top sheet and roll the dough up into one long log. Roll up the dough log tightly with the bottom sheet and then use a roller to flatten it length-wise into a thin bar shape.
Refrigerate this way overnight and cut into 3 or 4 bars. 3 bars will each have 20g of protein at 184 calories and 4 will have 14 at 140.

Serving Size: makes 3 20g protein bars
