Ingredients

1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 cup splenda
1/4 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 cup water
1/2 cup applesauce, unsweetened
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1/4 cup baking cocoa
2 eggs
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp baking soda
frosting:
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1/3 cup whipping cream
1/4 cup baking cocoa
1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
3 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup finely chopped walnuts
Directions
In a mixing bowl combine the flours, splenda and salt. In a saucepan, combine water, applesauce, butter and cocoa. Bring to a boil, pour over dry ingredients and blend well. Add eggs, buttermilk, vanilla and baking soda. Mix well. Pour into a greased and floured 15x10x1 inch pan. Bake at 375 for 15-20 minutes or until cake tester comes out clean.
For the frosting, combine the butter, cream, cocoa and cinnamon in a saucepan. Cook and stir over medium heat until butter is melted and mixture is heated through. Remove from heat. Beat in sugar and vanilla until smooth. Stir in walnuts. Carefully spread over hot cake. Cool completely.
