Ingredients

    1 unit, cooked (yield from 1 lb Ground Beef (extra lean)
    1 cup, chopped Onions, raw
    908 gram(s) Green Cabbage, raw (1 head, medium - 908g) (by WOMYN42)
    1 tbsp Butter, unsalted
    1 serving Garlic Minced 1 Tsp (by TRISHC50)
    .5 cup Tomato Sauce
    1 serving Salt & Pepper to taste (by ANJIEALLEN)

Directions

1. In a large pan, brown ground beef until no longer pink. Add onion and continue cooking until translucent. Drain extra fat if needed (or leave it and don't use the butter). Add garlic and continue cooking for 1 minute.

2. Add butter, cabbage, tomatoes, tomato sauce, salt and pepper to the pan and stir to combine. Cover and simmer about 20 - 30 minutes until the cabbage is soft.

    I used a can of no salt tomatoes instead of tomato sauce. I omitted the butter. I cooked the beef-then added the red onion & garlic. Then drained the liquid off. Added the can tomatoes w/ it's juice added cabbage. I also omitted the salt. I added crushed red peppers to it. Next time I'll add carrot - 1/20/18

    It was good for a quick supper. I also added hot sauce, as suggested, and some worcestershire sauce. There are no tomatoes in the ingredient list so wasn't sure how much to put in. - 3/27/17
