    1 tsp Thyme, ground
    1 carrot (7-1/2") Carrots, raw
    1 stalk, large (11"-12" long) Celery, raw
    1 medium (2-1/2" dia) Onions, raw
    1 serving Shoney's Bacon (3 strips)
    3 tsp VEGETA
    8 cup, chopped Cabbage, fresh
    6 cup (8 fl oz) Water, tap
    2 cup Lentils


Fry bacon on a large pot until most of the fat is rendered. Stir in onion, garlic, carrot and celery and cook over high heat until softened. Stir in vegeta and thyme. Add remaining ingredients and simmer over low heat for several hours.

Serving Size: Makes 8 to 10 servings
