Ingredients

    1 cup dry plain bread crumbs
    3 cans Green Chili Peppers, don't drain them
    *I don't add salt because the peppers have plenty for my taste!*
    2.5 lb raw Ground Turkey
    1-2 tsp Slap Your Mama seasoning for sprinkling (to taste) or your favorite season blend

Tips

If you want to make a smaller batch, 1lb of ground turkey, one can of undrained green chilies, and enough bread crumbs to help the lean meat stick together enough to form patties is perfect! I get about six medium burgers this way. And even folks that usually turn their noses up at turkey burgers love these! We do add some sprinkled seasoning most of the time, but I like mine pretty plain, because I love the chili flavor!


Directions

Mix the turkey, three cans of hot Hatch chilies, and bread crumbs. Mold into patties that fit the size of bun you have. Sprinkle with seasoning, we prefer Slap Your Mama brand. These don't shrink hardly at all in a panani grill. They do slightly on anything else. I make a batch of them, then freeze them with wax paper between them. I can take whatever I want out and cook them from frozen for convenience. Everyone loves them.
