Ingredients
-
Pepper, black, 0.5 tsp
Garlic, 3 clove
Green Peppers (bell peppers), 1 cup, strips
Peppers, sweet, red, fresh, 1 cup, sliced
Jennie-O Lean Ground Turkey, 5 serving
Promise Fat Free Margarine, 1.5 tbsp
vidalia onion, medium, 1.5 serving
Aunt Millie's whole grain mini sub buns, 5 serving
Directions
Place the cast iron pan on med-high heat and when up to temp add a little olive oil (or liberally spray with olive oil spray), bring up to temp and add the sausage. Brown well and cook through, about 15-20 min. When done, remove from the pan and keep warm in a 200 degree oven.
Reduce skillet heat to med. - med/high. Add the onion and peppers to the pan along with the Promise fat-free and ground pepper to taste and toss well. Sauté the onion and pepper until they start to limp but still a little al dente. Watch the heat because you don't want to brown them too much. When the peppers and onions are just about done add the garlic, toss well and cook for about another 30-60 seconds.
Open rolls, add a sausage and cover liberally with onions and peppers.
ENJOY!
