We were low on groceries one day so I went threw the cupboard and threw stuff we had (that sounded good together) into a pot and whalla the mess was born. Ingredients

    2 tbsp Chili powder
    1 tbsp Pepper, black
    .75 cup, diced Celery, raw
    1 cup, chopped Onions, raw
    7 cup Tomatoes, red, ripe, canned, with green chilies
    8 cup Water
    8 cube Bouillon - Beef - Reduced Sodium - Wyler's
    16 oz 93 % lean Hamburger
    1 tbsp Chef Cuisine Minced Garlic
    1/4 Med. Green Bell Pepper
    2.5 cups Gulf Pacific brown rice long grain

Tips

the tomatoes with chilies can make it spicy for some so if you are sensitive to that you can omit and just use regular diced tomatoes. This is spiced to my families tastes have fun make it your own.


Directions

In a large pot brown hamburger with Onion, celery, bell pepper, garlic, and spices. Drain off any grease. Add to the hamburger mix in the pot the tomatoes with green chilies, Bullion cubes and water. Bring to a boil a stir until cubes are dissolved. Reduce to a simmer for 10-20 min. this step is optional I like to have my flavors combine so I simmer at this point up to 30 min. After this has simmered (or not) add rice and simmer until tender about 45-50min.

I serve this with tortilla chips or flour tortillas depending on how thick it comes out. can also top with your favorite cheese, sour cream, salsa, you name it!
