Ingredients
-
1 tsp Granulated Sugar
.5 serving Fleischmann's Traditional Yeast 1 tsp serving (by A_LITTLE_TLC)
2 cup Wheat flour, white, all-purpose, unenriched
.5 cup (8 fl oz) Yogurt, plain, whole milk
1 tbsp Sunflower Oil
3 tbsp Butter, salted
Directions
Dissolve sugar and yeast in 1/2 cup of warm water. Let activate for 10 minutes.
Add yeast mixture , yogurt and oil to two cups of flour in a large bowl. Stir and then knead for 10 minutes until all ingredients are incorporated and the dough is shiny. Cover with a tea towel and let rise in a warm place until doubled in bulk (an hour or a bit more).
Divide the dough into 8 equal portions. Roll the dough to a 8” circle using a rolling spin.
Heat up a skillet (cast-iron preferred) over high heat and lightly grease the surface with some oil to avoid the dough from sticking to the skillet. Place the dough on the skillet. When it puffs up and bubbles and burnt spots appear, flip it over and cook the other side. Repeat the same until all dough are done.
Serving Size: Makes 8 individual breads.
