Ingredients

2-28 oz cans; Winco Diced Tomatoes
1-12 oz can; Winco Tomato Paste
2-29 oz cans; Winco Tomato Sauce
    4-6.5 oz cans; Winco Mushrooms-Canned
    2lbs, Ground turkey, 93% lean
    1 cup, chopped Onions, raw
    2 Tbsp diced garlic
    1/4 cup dried basil
    1/4 cup dried oregano
    1 tsp ground rosemary
    1 tsp dried thyme
    salt and pepper to taste

Tips

You can also put this in a slow cooker. The directions are same.

Directions

Open all of the tomato cans and put into a large pot. Open mushroom cans and drain. Depending on how big you like the mushrooms, you can dice the mushrooms before putting in the pot.

Saute the onions in a non stick pan with a little Pam olive oil spray until translucent. When done put into the pot. In the same pan, add a little more spray and saute the turkey burger. Drain excess water as it cooks. When the meat is completely cooked use a slotted spoon and add the meat to the pot.

Put the pot on medium heat and add the garlic and spices. When it starts to bubble, put on very low heat and simmer for about 40 minutes or longer. The longer it simmers the deeper the flavors become.

Put over your choice of spaghetti squash, zucchini strips, gluten free pasta or the normal choice of pasta. I also use this sauce to put over cabbage rolls and make lasagna.
