Tasty, healthy baked shrimp. Definitely a treat. Tasty, healthy baked shrimp. Definitely a treat.
Number of Servings: 2

Ingredients

    Orange juice, fresh, 1 orange
    *Lemon Juice, 1 fl oz
Lea & Perrins, Worcestershire Sauce, 3 tsp
    Garlic, 3 cloves minced
Shrimp, raw, 16 oz after shelled
Butter, salted, 2 pat (1" sq, 1/3" high)
Pepper, red or cayenne, 1 tbsp or less

Notes: 1 1/2 pounds shrimp without heads should equal about 1 pound shelled and deveined.
Use more shrimp per person and increase sauce portions if you have hearty eaters and don't serve this over rice.

Directions

Peel and devein shrimp leaving tails on.
Spray a heavy baking pan
Spread 1 pound of large cleaned shrimp.
Sprinkle with mixture of cayenne and salt.
Let stand about 15 minutes.
Melt butter, add lemon juice, orange juice, worchestershire sauce, and minced garlic until heated.
Drizzle heated mixture over the shrimp.

This is all about taste preferences, so put as much of each as you want without overpowering the sauce.

Bake 10 minutes (until pink) at 375 degrees or longer for larger shrimp.
Makes 2 8-oz. servings.
We serve over brown rice or dip Frech bread in the sauce.

Serve with a crisp mixed salad.
