2 large Egg, fresh, whole, raw
.25 tsp Pepper, black
.25 tsp Thyme, ground
.25 tsp Nutmeg, ground
.25 tsp Cumin - ground (1 tsp) (by INFORM555)
2 grams Cloves, ground
.25 cup Sour Cream
4 serving Bob's Red Mill Whole Ground Flaxseed Meal, 2 Tbsp.
.25 cup Milk, nonfat (skim milk)
16 oz Ground beef
8 oz Veal, ground
8 oz Pork, fresh, ground, raw
2 tbsp chopped Onions, raw
1 tbsp Parsley
1 tbsp Celery, raw
.25 tsp Garlic
Tips
Flaxseed replaces bread crumbs. Produces a moister meatloaf, but flaxseed adds a bit of it's flavor to the meatloaf.
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Soak flaxseed meal in the milk for 5 minutes. Add all spices, sour cream and eggs into flaxseed/milk mixture and mix. Set for 5 minutes.
Add meat, onion, parsley, garlic and celery. Mix and put loaf into a 9x5 pan.
Bake for 45 minutes.
Coat with favorite meatloaf sauce every 10 minutes for another 30 minutes total cooking time.
Note: Meatloaf sauce not part of nutritional calculation.
