Ingredients

    3 stick Butter, salted
    1 cup Milk, 3.25%
    7 large Egg, fresh, whole, raw
    1 tsp Salt
    1 tsp Vanilla Extract
    32 oz Walnuts
    0.50 cup (8 fl oz) Water, tap
    6 tsp Granulated Sugar
    2 cup Domino's Confectioners Sugar 10X Powered Pure Cane Sugar
    6 cup Flour Gold Medal Unbleached All purpose
    2 serving Yeast, Red Star Active Dry (1 pkg) (by WCHAMBERLAIN)

Tips

For filling, mix ground walnuts with 10x sugar and vanilla. Set aside while dough sets in frig. Cover rolled dough with filling. Roll up, tucking in sides. Rest for 30 minutes before baking. Spread egg white on each roll after rising.


Directions

Sift flour, salt, sugar. Scald milk, add butter to melt, add egg yolks, reserve whites for filling. Activate yeast in 1/2 cup warm water for 10 minutes. Add to milk/butter/egg mixture and stir. Blend liquid into dry ingredients. Knead until smooth. Cut into 6 balls, wrap separately and refrigerate for 2 hours. Roll each piece out to a large rectangle. Spread Filling over each, rise for 30 minutes. Bake at 375 degrees for 30-35 minutes. Cut roll into 10 pieces.
