Ingredients

    Peas, frozen, 1 package (10 oz)
    Canned Tomatoes, 1 (15 oz.) can
    Onions, raw, 1 cup, chopped
    Olive Oil, 2 tbsp
    Parsley, 2 tbsp, chopped
    Granulated Sugar, 1 tsp
    Salt, .5 tsp
    *Pepper, white, .5 tsp
    Garlic, 1 clove, chopped fine

Directions

Chop the onions and garlic add to a sauce pan with two tablespoons of olive oil and cook until tender. Add tomatoes, peas, parsley, salt, pepper and sugar. Cover and cook over medium heat for about 20 minutes.

    Instead of oil I used low fat butter, instead of peas I used mixed vegetables, and I eliminated the sugar. - 1/22/12

    I agree with comment below. I was looking for a good easy way to switch up the boring old peas. This recipe did the trick. My family ate it pretty good. I will make it again. BTW, I used 2 tsp oil to reduce the fat. - 4/5/11
