A delicious alternative to oatmeal! You could sub out the oil for applesauce and only use egg white if you want to reduce the fat content, but at 140 calories and 4g of fat each, you don't really 'need' to! Ingredients

    *Whole Wheat Flour, 1 cup (remove)
    *Flour, white, 1 cup (remove)
    Egg, fresh, 1 large (remove)
    Milk, 1%, .75 cup (remove)
    Baking Powder, 3 tsp (remove)
    Water, tap, 1 cup (8 fl oz) (remove)
    *Crisco Pure Vegetable Oil, 2 tbsp (remove)

Directions

mix dry ingredients first. gently beat egg before adding with wet ingredients. whisk all ingredients until mixed.

heat waffle iron. add batter as per instructions(usually 2/3 of each iron) remove when golden brown.

Makes approximately 9 waffles.
