Introduction

A quick, low-sodium alternative to packaged taco seasoning mixes. Very spicy. A quick, low-sodium alternative to packaged taco seasoning mixes. Very spicy.
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    1 tbsp Chili powder
    2 tsp Cumin seed, ground
    2 tsp Garlic powder
    1 tsp Paprika
1 tsp Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
1 tsp Pepper, red or cayenne
    1 tsp Pepper, black

Tips

An all-purpose seasoning for many Mexican-style dishes. I usually make double the recipe and store in a ground cumin container in refrigerator. Stores well. Heat levels can be raised/lowered by adjusting chili powder, cayenne pepper, red pepper flake, and black pepper amounts.

Directions

Mix all ingredients in sealable plastic bag and shake until well blended. I keep mine in an empty ground cumin shaker.

Serving Size: Season 1 lb. ground beef, chicken, turkey, or pork.
