I halved the recipe and needed to switch baking powder for soda, hence the odd measurements!

Ingredients

1 1/8 cups all purpose flour
    1/6 cup sugar
    3/8 tsp baking soda
    1/4 teaspoon grated lemon peel
5.5 tablespoons chilled unsalted butter, cut into small pieces (or 2.75 oz.)
    3/4 cup yogurt
    1/3 cup diced crystallized ginger
1 tablespoons whipping cream (do not mix in, optional!)

Directions

Mix dry ingredients, add butter and mix until you have a crumbly dough. Make a well and add yogurt and ginger. Mix briefly, then put on a floured surface to kneed until it's not too sticky. Press flat and shape into a circle, about 9" in diameter. Cut these into whatever size wedges you like, I get about 10 pieces. Place on a buttered baking sheet, and brush with (optional) whipping cream. Bake at 400 F for about 18 minutes, or until slightly golden brown on the bottom.
