Ingredients

    2 tbs protein powder
    4-6 ice cubes
    1 cup milk non fat
    1 cup blueberries, fresh or frozen
    1/2 cup nuts. your choice, I used a mix of raw pistasios, unsalted peanuts, and unsalted macadamia nuts in the nutritional info
    1/2 pain yogurt
    1tbs flax oil
    pinch of cinnamon

    Makes a lot, can be divided into two servings. Also less nuts or lower cal nuts will drastically change the cal number.

Directions

mix in a blender for two min and serve

    Being positive..
    There are a lot of healthy ingredients beneficial to diabetics here, folks!!!!
    I would consider this smoothie if I was having a sick day & needed nourishment in some form!
    I would drink it gradually, every 2 hrs. or so; to even out my blood sugar levels & have nothing else to eat

    never thought of adding nuts. Just bought a Hamilton Beach. flax oil and nuts sound good. will play with your idea. thanx for posting. - 5/27/12

    This is absolutely unheard of I would not dare eat 800 calories for breakfast or better yet drink them. No thanks. - 3/8/09
