Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    1 pound - ground turkey
1 can (15.5 oz) - red kidney beans
    1 can (6 oz) - tomato paste
    1 tsp - chopped garlic
1 tbsp - chopped chiptole peppers
    1/2 lime worth of juice
2 tsp - Goya Adobo seasoning
1 packet - Goya Sazon seasoning
    1 tsp - paprika
    1 tsp - chili powder
1 tsp - red pepper flakes
    1/2 cup - water

Directions

Heat skillet and brown turkey. Drain fat, lower heat to low, add 1/4 cup water (not the whole 1/2), Sazon, and Adobo. Stir, cover, and allow to simmer while you work on the rest.

Heat medium pot on Medium heat. Add garlic. As it starts to sizzle (not burn!) add kidney beans, tomato paste, and the last 1/4 of water. Mix and allow to come to a boil. Add ground turkey and remaining ingredients. Bring to a light boil, lower heat to Low, and cover. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring half way through.

Makes about 6 hearty 1/2 cup servings.

Suggested serving: on top of rice (as pictured) for a filling meal, topped with cheese and/or sour cream on a cold rainy day, or on top of chips for a game day snack.
