-
454 grams / 1 pound Ground beef, extra lean
1 cup, chopped Onions
2 cubes Beef bouillon
650ml jar tomato sauce or Spaghetti Sauce,) (I use Classico Tomato & Basil
1 cup White Rice, uncooked

1/2 tsp Salt
1/2 a medium size head Cabbage, shredded
796ml / 28oz can chopped Fire Roasted Tomatoes (or regular tomatoes)
6 cloves Garlic, minced or pressed
Directions
Cook onions and ground beef until onions are translucent and ground beef is cooked through. Add garlic and cook until garlic is fragrant.
Add beef bouillon, salt, pepper and rice, and pour in spaghetti sauce, diced tomatoes and water. Simmer, covered, for 20 minutes until thickened.
Layer 1/2 of cabbage, then half of beef/tomato mixture into a 9 X 13" baking dish. Repeat layer. Cover tightly with foil and bake at 350 degrees F for about an hour until rice has absorbed liquid and is tender.
Check at 45 minutes and add a little more water if the mixture seems to be drying out.
