Ingredients

    5 serving Kroger tomato paste (can = 5 serv) (one whole 12 oz can)
    1 cup Tomatoes, Kroger Peeled, in Juice, Petite Diced (unsalted)
    1/2 stick Butter, unsalted
    1/4 cup Granulated white Sugar
    1.5 cup (8 fl oz) Water, tap filtered 12oz of water,

Tips

Adding more or less water to tomato paste will determine how thick or thin sauce will be.


Directions

Melt half stick of butter over medium heat in sauce pan the mashed add sugar and stir until melted, add a little of the water until all is hot in the pan, then begin adding all of the tomato paste along with the rest of the water and stir in until blended very well. After heating for several minutes add can of tomato pieces with their juice to pan and stir until heated through and bubbling hot.

Serving Size: Makes about 6 1/2 cup servings
