Introduction

Slow cooker goodness! Slow cooker goodness!
Number of Servings: 7

Ingredients

    .5 cup celery
4 oz canned mushrooms in pieces
    1 cup chopped onions
    2 Tbsp butter
    2.5 lbs pork
    1 Tbsp olive oil
    1 tsp salt
    1 tsp black pepper
    .5 cup beef broth
    1 tsp instant beef bouillon
    1 Tbsp flour

Tips

It's possible to cook this using 2 whole pork tenderloins rather than other cuts of pork. If so, you want each tenderloin to weigh about 1.25 lb.

You can use fresh mushrooms rather than canned if you prefer. Fresh mushrooms should be quartered.

You can use margarine rather than butter and canola oil rather than olive oil depending on what kind of fats you want.

You can tone down the salt and pepper a bit if you prefer to .75 tsp salt and .25 tsp pepper.

Directions

Slice the celery.

Chop the onion if you did not purchase it chopped.

Drain the mushrooms.

Cut the pork into bite-sized pieces if desired.

Place celery, mushrooms, onion, and butter in slow cooker.

Brown the pork in a skillet using the olive oil.

Layer pork over vegetables.

Pour beef broth over pork.

Sprinkle pork with salt and pepper.

Combine bouillon and flour until smooth.

Sprinkle bouillon/flour mixture over pork.

Cover.

Cook on high 3 hours or low 4-5 hours.
