    2 Tablespoon + 1/2 cup light butter,divided 1/2 cup light brown sugar 1 cup seedless watermelon(1/2 inch) 2/3 cup sugar 1/4 tea. vanilla 1 egg slightly beaten 1 1/4 cup all purpose flour 2 tea. baking powder 1/2 tea salt (optional) 1/2 cup 2% milk


Heat oven 350*f melt 2 Tablespoon of butter pour over bottom of 9X2" pan sprinkle with brown sugar top with watermelon. Beat remaining 1/2 cup butter,sugar,and vanilla in lrg bowl at medium speed untill blended,Beat in egg. combined flour, baking powder, salt, in medium bowl. Beat into sugar mixture alternatly with milk.beginning and ending with flour. pour over watermelon Bake 30-35 minutes until seperates from sides of pan golden brown and toothpick comes out clean. cool on wire rack untill cooled. very good with or without ice cream. or coolwhip. may add diced pears, blueberries to receipe.(2 tablespoon of each)
