Ingredients

* Crushed Tomatoes, 28 oz can
* Chicken Broth, 4 cup
* White beans, 2 cans
* Bacon, 6 medium slices
* Onions, raw, 1 cup, chopped
* Garlic, 3 clove
* *Barilla Mini Penne, 1 cup dry
* Parmesan Cheese, grated, .25 cup
* Olive Oil, 1 tbsp
Thyme, fresh, 3 sprigs
Rosemary, 2 sprigs
Bay Leaf, 2
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Chop onions, garlic and bacon. Brown bacon lightly, add olive oil, onions and garlic and saute until soft.
Tie herbs in cheese cloth. Drain and rinse 2 cans of beans. Add tomatoes, beans, broth and herbs to pot. Simmer for 15 minutes. Remove herbs. Ladle out 1 cup of bean mixture and puree with hand blender, add back to pot. Add pasta and cook for 1-2 minutes less than the box says, it will continue to cook after removed from heat.
Serve in big bowls, top with parmesan and more pepper. Great with some crusty bread.
