2 cup Sour Cream, reduced fat
1.25 cup Great Value Fat Free Milk
    .5 tsp Pepper, black

    2 1tsp Canola Oil
    shredded cheddar cheese(1 tsp)
    bacon bits(half tsp_
    chives(optional)

Tips

the actual recipe calls for the hash browns to be thawed, I only thaw mine partially.

Directions

heat oil and chopped onion in large saucepan. Add hashbrowns (partially thawed) cook until done(about 8 to 10 minutes), add soup and sour cream, gradually stir in milk, add spices, simmer until ready to serve. If you like your chowder thinner, you can add up to 2 cups of water. SPRINKLE w/cheddar cheese and bacon bits, and chives(optional)
