Directions
1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the onion, garlic and peppers; cook 4-5 minutes, until they start to soften. Add the ground turkey and cook, stirring to crumble the meat, until turkey is cooked through, about 5 minutes.
2. Turn off heat and add the brown sugar, chili powder, cumin, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, tomato sauce, and tomato paste. Stir to combine. Pour mixture into your slow cooker insert. Add broth, scraping up any bits from the bottom of the pot.
3. Add the crushed tomatoes and then beans to the slow cooker and stir.
4. Cook on high for 3-4 hours or on low for 6-8 hours.
5. Stir and serve chili with toppings as desired.
