Introduction

Recipe from "OhSheGlows" website/blog. The recipe below does not include the fruit or spices. I mix things up with the fruit and sometimes add coffee nibs in the cooking. For tracking purposes I can add those fruits.
I've set the serving size 1/2 cup as I find this is plenty for me (I'm a hearty eater).

Ingredients

    1 cup Steel Cut Oats, dry
    2 cup Almond Breeze Almond coconut milk unsweetened
    2 cup (8 fl oz) Water, tap
    1 dash Salt
    2 tsp Vanilla Extract
    4 tbsp *Flax Seed

* Chocolate nibs are great - put in when cooking.
* Add spices while cooking for better flavor.
* Consider cooking firmer fruits (apples, pears) with oatmeal and spices


Directions

1. In a medium-sized pot, bring the water and almond milk to a boil. Add in steel-cut oats and a pinch of salt and reduce heat to low.
2. When the oats are creamy and tender, remove from heat and stir in pure vanilla extract. Serve immediately or allow to cool before transferring into air tight containers in the fridge. In the morning, add a splash of milk and reheat in the micro or on the stove-top.
** Add fruit, nuts, flavoring, spices, etc.
