Introduction

Ingredients

    1 pound extra lean ground beef
    1 diced yellow onion
    1 McCormick's Tex-Mex Chili Seasoning
    1 large can red kidney beans (undrained)
    1 can diced tomatoes (undrained)

Directions

Brown ground beef is large skillet, drain. Add diced onion, seasoning mix, tomatoes (undrained) and kidney beans (undrained). Simmer for 10 minutes.

Optional toppings:
Low fat sour cream
low fat shredded cheese
diced green onion
diced tomatoes
Baked tortilla chips

Note: You can save calories and sodium by using ground turkey and instead of the seasoning packet, use ground red chilis, ground cumin, garlic and salt and pepper.

    Incredible!
    I made this for my family last night. It was the first meal in our healthy eating venture. I did however add a can of rinsed black beans and an extra can of rinsed tomatoes. Let me say that they went absolutely nuts over it and have asked me to make it again :) Very good flavor!! - 7/3/11
