Ingredients
-
100 grams Ginger Root
100 grams turmeric root
100 grams Beets, fresh (yellow or red)
8 fl oz Lemon Juice, fresh
100 grams Carrots
2 large Apples, fresh
2 cups Water (approximate)
Tips
For additional anti-inflammatory power, you could add a little black pepper or cayenne pepper.
NOTE: Since the pulp is strained out of the juice, the fiber content in the nutrition tracker will be incorrect.
Directions
Wash all fruits and veggies and peel or scrape them if you prefer.
Option A: If you have a juicer, juice it all, then add water.
Option B: Using a blender, combine everything in blender and blend till as smooth as possible. Then strain out the pulp using cheesecloth or a nut milk bag (I use "Ellie's Nut Milk Bags").
Keeps for up to 3 days in the refrigerator; I freeze the rest in small containers so that I can take one out each day.
Serving Size: Makes approximately 8 four-ounce servings.
