Ingredients
-
4 slices of Whitewheat sliced bread
1/4 cup Egg Beaters
1/4 cup skim (fat free) milk
1 tsp. Splenda
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp. margarine
1 ripe banana
1/4 cup Log Cabin sugar free syrup
Directions
1. Heat a large flat skillet over medium heat; add 1 tsp. of margarine.
2. Combine Egg Beaters, skim milk, Splenda, and ground cinnamon; mix well.
3. Dip each side of the bread in the egg/milk mixture, coating well. Don't let the bread sit in the mixture for very long or it will begin to fall apart!
4. Arrange each slice of bread in the pan and cook for approximately 5 minutes on each side, until crispy and golden brown. Flip each piece carefully to prevent it from tearing.
5. While the French toast is cooking, peel a banana and slice into small, thin pieces.
6. When golden brown on both sides, remove the French toast to a plate.
7. Add 1/2 tsp. of margarine to the pan, and quickly saute the bananas until they begin to brown and are a bit musy.
8. Spoon approximately 1/4 of the bananas over each slice of French toast, drizzle with the sugar free syrup.
2 servings, each serving is 2 slices of French toast, half of the bananas and half of the sugar free syrup.
