Ingredients

    2 cup Flour - Gold medal all purpose flour
    3 tsp Baking Powder
    1 cup GREAT VALUE Vitamin D Whole Milk (Red Label)
    0.5 tsp Salt
    6 tbsp Shortening, Crisco

Directions

Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Grease baking pan Makes 12 - 15 biscuits Mix dry ingredients in large bowl. Cut in shortening until particles are size of rice. (Can use cooking oil, but shortening seems flakier.) Mix in milk and knead dough on floured surface. Roll with pen to 1/2 to 3/4 inch thickness. Use desired size cutter (recipe is calculated for 12 3 inch biscuits). Place on greased baking pan and cook in hot (450 degree) oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Butter while hot and enjoy with favored jelly, honey, syrup, or gravy. Serving Size: 12 3 inch biscuits
