Introduction

This is not difficult to prepare. I like to get the ingredients all at hand first, then use them in the sequence so it is done in minutes. For this one in particular, I used 1/2 lb leftover of a beef roast that I shredded instead of fresh beef chuck. The final result was delicious! This is not difficult to prepare. Ingredients

    2 tbsp Flour, white
    1 tsp Morton Iodized Salt
1/8 tsp Fresh Ground Black Pepper
1/2 lb Beef chuck, arm pot roast
    1 tbsp Canola Oil
    1 tbsp Butter, salted
    1 cup, chopped Onions, raw
    1 tsp Beef Bouillon
    1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
    1/2 tsp Country Crock Margarine
    1/4 tsp Dried Thyme
1 12 oz bag Great Value Frozen Peas & Carrots
2 cup Idaho instant mashed potatoes - or make you own
    2 tbsp Butter
    1 tsp Paprika

Tips

Makes 6 Servings

Directions

Get the oven preheated at 400ºF. Mix the flour, salt, pepper and then coat the meat with it. In large skillet fry the meat in the oil and butter, add the onions until somewhat transparent. I had the onion cut almost half inch cubes because I want to see and bite the pieces of onion in the pie.

At that point add the beef broth (I just got some hot water and put in it 1 tsp of beef bouillon), Worcestershire sauce, margarine, and thyme. Stir to mix well, cover and cook in medium/low heat to make sure the beef is actually cooked if you did not cook enough in the first step, and so the flavors blend.

Add the frozen peas and carrots and 1/2 tsp salt. Let it cook a little bit covered. Spread in a casserole dish - small because this is going to make only 6 portions / or you can put in little oven proof blows which is cute and easy to serve. Spread the hot mashed potato on the top and brush with melted butter, then sprinkle paprika.

Place it in the oven and let it cook for 15 to 20 minutes. Enjoy.
