Introduction

I wanted a dairy free passion fruit recipe with very little sugar. I wanted a dairy free passion fruit recipe with very little sugar.
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    2 fruit without refuse Mangos
1 medium (7" to 7-7/8" long) Banana, fresh
    6 tsp Granulated Sugar
2 cup passion fruit pulp with no added sugar or additives (frozen section of grocery store)
2 serving Stevia - Pure Via All Natural Zero Calorie Sweetener
    1 fl oz Vodka
    3 small limes, juice

Tips

The vodka can be left out, but it helps the sorbet not freeze too hard and remain scoopable after soaring in the freezer. If you leave vodka out of the recipe, you may need to let the sorbet set out for about 10 minutes before scooping after removing it from your freezer.

I do want to try this without sugar, I only added it to help make a smoother texture product. Next time I will.

You won't taste the banana very much if at all, it is there to add smoothness to the texture.

Serving Size: makes about 8 servings if you like large scoops

It took about 40 minutes to freeze to hard sorbet in my Breville Smart Ice Cream Maker. however I started with room temp ingredients. If you chilled your mixture it would freeze a lot faster.

Directions

Push the passion fruit pulp through a ricer or sieve to separate the seeds from the pulp. The seeds are edible, but they can plug up the ice cream maker.

Add all ingredients to blender and pulse till smooth (about 2 minutes). should result in about 1 quart (32 oz) of mixtures. Pour into an ice cream freezer and set to sorbet setting. Turn it on.
