Ingredients
-
5 link, 4/lb Italian Sausage, pork
6 cup Hunt's Diced Tomatoes
2 medium (2-1/2" dia) Onions, raw
6 clove Garlic
3 tsp Granulated Sugar
24 leaves Basil
1.5 tbsp Oregano, ground
2 pepper Serrano Peppers
6 cup Best Choice Broccoli Florets
5 medium whole (2-3/5" dia) Red Ripe Tomatoes
Tips
If you use a crock pot, I'd give it 3 hours on medium.
Directions
1. In a large skillet, place the sausages (which should be sliced crosswise on both sides). Cook over low-med heat for 5 minutes, covered, then flip and cover and cook for another 5.
2. Chop onions, smash and mince the garlic, prep the broc, and wash and chop the basil (and oregano, if you're subbing real instead of dried oregano).
3. Everybody in the pool!
4. Bring to low boil, then drop to simmer (hard to see with all the chunks, but:
5. Stir every 15 minutes, and check for doneness after 1¼ hours.
