Introduction

Ingredients

0.5 cup Sour Cream
0.5 cup (8 fl oz) Water, tap
2 large Egg, fresh, whole, raw
1.25 tsp Salt
6 tsp Granulated Sugar
2 tbsp Butter, salted
3.25 cup Flour - Gold medal all purpose flour
1.5 tsp Fleischmann's Bread Machine Yeast (by MIKITTA)
Tips
This should take no longer than 3 hours, total. So worth it!
Directions
1. Add first 8 ingredients into bread machine pan, in the order it recommends, And select dough setting. (Mine takes 2 hours).
2. Remove dough to lightly floured surface. Cover with a large bowl and let rest for 10-15 minutes.
3. Divide dough into 16 equal portions by twisting balls apart.
4. Roll into balls. Flatten slightly and snip five 1/2” cuts around dough with scissors.
5. Place on greased and floured baking sheet (or parchment paper), and cover and keep draft-free for 30-45 minutes to allow buns to double in size.
6. Preheat oven to 375*F.
7. Brush buns with 1 egg yolk mixed with 1Tbsp water before baking. Sprinkle with poppy seeds, sesame seeds or sea salt.
8. Bake for 15-20 minutes. They should sound hollow when tapped on from the bottom.
