Introduction

To Australians, Marinara Sauce is not just a tomato sauce - it MUST contain seafood :-) To Australians, Marinara Sauce is not just a tomato sauce - it MUST contain seafood :-)
Number of Servings: 5

Ingredients

    180 grams Spaghetti, dry, unenriched
300 gram(s) Marinara Mix (Frozen Seafood) - Craig Mostyn Food Service (by CLOA513)
500 grams Spaghetti/Marinara Sauce (tomato sauce)
1.5 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Directions

Prepare the pasta as per directions - but cut the process short by about a minute. Drain the pasta - but keep half a cup of the pasta water (to add to the sauce later)

Fry the marinara mix in one tbsp of oil for two minutes, then place in a bowl.

Add remaining oil, plus onion and garlic if required, then add sauce and simmer for 2 mins.

Return pasta, seafood, and pasta water to sauce (the pasta water emulsifies the sauce - making it stick to the pasta)

Gently toss the sauce, pasta and seafood mix for 2 minutes, and serve.

Officially makes five serves - but in reality, two GENEROUS serves, plus one-fifth for leftovers :-)
