Ingredients

5lb potatoes (king edwards)
4 large carrots
1 large onion
4 sticks celery
2lb minced beef
2lb diced stewing beef
2 beef stock cubes
beef gravy granuals
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
jar of pickled beetroot
jar of pickled red cabbage
4 brown bread rolls
Directions
wash and peel potatoes, cut them into quarters, wash and peel carrots, slice thinly, wash and chop celery, put all vegatables into a large cooking pot, add mnced beef, add diced stewing beef adding salt and pepper, simmer on low light hob for 10 minutes then let it stand until cold, scrape off any fat that has risen to top of pot, reheat pot and let it cook for a further 40 minutes on low heat,, slowly simmering stirring in process, add beef stock cubes, once all ingredients are cooked add beef gravy granuals to thicken, serve in deep bowls, put pickled beetroot or red cabbage on top of scouse, have bread roll if preferred
