Ingredients

    3 cups all-purpose flour
    1/4 cup Splenda
    1 tbsp Baking Powder
    1/2 tsp Baking Soda
    1/2 tsp Salt
    3/4 cup hard Margarine
    1 cup cranberries
    1/2 chopped walnuts
    1 orange
    1 cup milk
    2 tsp Lemon Juice

Tips

Can be rolled into a circle and cut into 8 triangle pieces. But to cut down on calories, they were rolled & cut into 2 inch biscuits.


Directions

cHeat oven to 400 degrees F. In large bowl, blend together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Cut in butter til resembles coarse crumbs. Puree orange with peel in blender or food processor. Add pureed orange, cranberries and walnuts to crumb mixture. Stir in milk & lemon juice combination until dry ingredients are moistened. Roll out dough on floured board to 3/4 inch thick circle. Cut with 2 inch cookies cutter. Place on cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush with milk and sprinkle with cinammon/sugar mixture. Bake for 15 minutes, or until lightly browned.

Serving Size: 1- 2 inch round scone
