Introduction

Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    1 lb ground beef extra lean
    1/4 cup chopped onion
    3 tblsp water
    1/2 tsp salt
    1/4 tsp black pepper
    cooking spray

    MUSHROOM GRAVY INGREDIENTS
    1 cup sliced mushrooms
    1/4 cup chopped onion
    2 tblsp flour ( i use whole wheat)
    1 cup beef broth
    salt & pepper to taste

Directions

mix all ingredients for meat together and form into 1 inch thick oval patties spray pan with cooking spray and cook patties until done to your liking usually 3-5 minutes

FOR GRAVY
saute mushroom and onion in pan sprayed with cooking spray stir in flour cook 1-2 minutes add broth and heat to boiling boil stirring constantly until thickened season with salt and pepper to taste ( I take my hand blender and puree a bit to break down some of the mushrooms since thats how my kids prefer) BUT I PREFER THE SLICED MUSHROOMS

serves 4- 1 patty each with a little less than 1/3 cup gravy each
