Introduction

My version of a PCC favorite, High in good chloesterol, Fiber and Protien, even half a serving fills me up! The Groats add a crunchy texture I love. My version of a PCC favorite, High in good chloesterol, Fiber and Protien, even half a serving fills me up! The Groats add a crunchy texture I love.

Ingredients

1/2 C Toasted Tahini (sesame butter)
    1/2 C Almond butter
    1 C Date peices
1/2 C Maple Syrup (or sweetener of your choice)
    1 1/2 C Wheat Bran
    1 1/2 C Toasted Buckwheat Groats

Directions

Place Dates and all wet ingredients into a food processor and pulse until you get a semi-smooth paste ( a little chunky is fine, I prefer it that way) .
Place in a bowl and mix in the Wheat bran and Groats, this will require a bit of mucle and kneeding. Throw in whatever favories you like at this point, I like to add dried Gogi berries and some soy protien powder. Add more wheat bran if needed until you get a firm but not crumbly ball.
Spred into a greased loaf pan, or better one lined with parchment paper for easy low-fat removal!
Let chill for at least an hour, cut into 9 servings

**Note**
Toasted Tahini is KEY here, raw Tahini has an "unusual" smell that can overpower the other flavors.
