Introduction

My mom made this for years with all ground beef and I changed to part ground turkey and added the mushrooms and mustard. My mom made this for years with all ground beef and I changed to part ground turkey and added the mushrooms and mustard.

Ingredients

    1/2 lb. ground turkey
    1/2 lb. ground chuck
    1/4 cup bread crumbs
    1/4 cup oats
    1 cup chopped onions
    1 cup sliced mushrooms
    1/2 cup low sodium catsup
    1 large egg
    1 tbsp. garlic salt
    1 tbsp. parsley
    1 tbsp. dijon mustard

Directions

Preheat oven to 350. Mix all ingredients in bowl and place in a loaf pan. Bake in oven for 60 mins. Makes 8 servings or 4 larger ones.

  • This recipe was incredibly tasty. I normally always put ketchup on my meatloaf after cooking it, but I wouldn't think of ruining this one by putting ketchup on it. It doesn't need it. The meat was very crumbly though and didn't hold together well once out of the pan. Very tasty, will make it again. - 1/16/09
