Introduction

A fast and easy mealoaf dish with a touch of sweetness sure to please the family!!! A fast and easy mealoaf dish with a touch of sweetness sure to please the family!!!
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    1 pound extra lean ground beef
    2 cups of tomatoe sauce
    2 TB brown sugar
    1/2 dried mustard
    1 Egg
    16 saltines (crumbled)

Directions

1- Crumble saltines till they are almost smooth
2- In a bowl add beef, saltines, egg and 1/4 of can of tomatoe sauce and squeeze till all mixed together.
3- Make to loaves and place in glass dish
4- Bake at 350 for 45 minutes
5- While baking add brown sugar and mustard and remaining tomatoe sauce together and mix in bowl
6- Remove meatloaves from oven and pour sauce over them and bake for additional 15 minutes
7- ENJOY!!!

    Sounds great! For those worried about Sodium, maybe substitute oatmeal, sounds like the saltines are just a binder anyways. - 9/1/08
