Ingredients

    Chicken Breast, no skin, 3 breast, bone and skin removed, cubed
    Mushrooms, fresh, 1 cup, pieces or slices
    Peas, frozen, 1 cup
    Carrots, raw, 1 cup, chopped
    Green Beans (snap), 2 cup
    Milk, 2%, 1 cup
    Corn Starch, 0.062 cup
    Salt, 1 tsp
    Pepper, black, 2 tsp
    *Heart Smart Bisquick (mix only), 0.33 cup
    Sour Cream, 2 tbsp
    Milk, 2%, .5 cup
    Butter, unsalted, 2 tbsp
    Garlic powder
    Oregano, parsley, basil to taste
    onion, chopped

Directions

In small sauce pan combine butter, 1 c milk, garlic, oregano, basil and cornstarch over medium heat. Stir constantly until thickened. In skillet sprayed with pan spray, saute chicken. Combine salt, pepper, veggies, mushroom, chicken, onion and white sauce in glass baking dish. Cover and bake at 350 for 40 minutes. In medium size bowl combine 1/2 c milk, sour cream and bisquick. Top chicken mixture with bisquick mixture and return to oven, uncovered, for ten minutes or until bisquick is light brown.

    .33 cup would be 1/3 cup
    Please correct me if I'm wrong! (gotta love conversion charts on the net!)

    What does it mean when it says cornstarch 0.062 cup? Or Bisquik mix 0.33 cup? Make it in terms that most people can understand please. - 9/9/08

    Incredible!
    I have to cut this one down since there areonly 2 of us and we are naughty if there is extra we eat it, so I mde half, it was wonderful. Reminded me of the times I cooked for my Dad, he couldn't eat much, but loved his chicken and dumplings. - 9/9/08
