Introduction

I like the Jimmy Dean De-Light breakfast bowls, but not the sodium or the cost...so I made my own version. It refrigerates really well for microwaving later... Ingredients

1 whole egg plus 2 whites scrambled
1 Frozen Patty Morningstar farms breakfast sausage cut up
    1 ounce cheddar cheese crumbles

Directions

Put the sausage and cheese in a baggie then the eggs on top and seal and store in the fridge. When ready to cook, dump into a bowl (eggs will be on the bottom because they were put in last:-) and microwave for 1-1.5 minutes. Lots of much needed protein in the morning:)

I drop the baggie into a pan of boiling water to make an omelet. No added fat and no pan to scrub. I think it takes about 5 minute or so to cook. I do this while I am doing other things. Then just open the baggie and dump it onto the plate. - 3/12/10

You can also add the bag of egg mixture to boiling water until the egg sets. Really great and easy. Will take less than five minutes in boiling water. - 7/10/13
