Ingredients
-
1 tortilla, small (taco) size
2 Tbsp pasta sauce of your choice
4 oz. cheese, shredded
toppings, your choice (optional veggies/meats)
Directions
I use a small toaster oven for one,
or regular oven for several.
Preheat oven to 475.
On cookie sheet covered with foil, sprayed with cooking spray (like Pam), place tortilla.
Spoon on sauce (add sauteed onion, garlic, herbs, spices, etc., if desired).
Sprinkle cheese on top. (Mozz, cheddar, whatever you like... I prefer at least 2 kinds of cheese. )
Add additional toppings before or after cheese.
(These can be chopped/prepared beforehand, and kept in refrigerator until ready to assemble pizza.)
Place pizza in oven; toast until cheese melts and edges brown, about 10 minutes.
Allow a few minutes to cool!
Voila!
Additional topping ideas;
DH loves sauteed green pepper,
dried tomatoes, and
cooked, crumbled sausage.
He adds black pepper and a small amount of caraway seeds, along with extra Italian herbs!
Son likes silced black olives & mushrooms.
I love small pieces of fresh tomato and lean meat!
You can use no fat or low fat cheeses & meats, homemade or canned pizza sauce, wheat or regular tortillas, whatever suites you!
Go for it! :-)
