I love this recipe because it reminds me of fall. It is so good as a side dish or even by itself. Ingredients

    1 1/2 Cups cubed butternut squash
    1 medium pear cut into cubes
    1/8 cup chopped walnuts
    1/8 cup toasted slivered almonds
    1 tsp cinnamon
    1 tsp nutmeg
    1 tbsp packed brown sugar
    1 tbsp salted butter

Directions

Makes about three 3/4 cup servings approximately

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Combine butternut squash cubes and pear cubes in a medium casserole dish.
Add nuts, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Stir well until spices coat all the peices.
Sprinkle sugar evenly over the squash mixture.
Dot the whole dish with small pieces of the butter.
Place uncovered dish into a 400 degree oven for 40 minutes.
