Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

Barilla Plus Rotini 1/2 box UN-cooked
Jennie-O Extra Lean Ground Turkey, 20 oz (or 1.25 pounds)
Newman's Own Organic Tomato Basil Sauce, whole jar
    Milk, nonfat, 1 cup
    Water, 1/2 cup
    Salt, 1/2 tsp
    Pepper, black, 1 tsp
Mozzarella Cheese, part skim milk, 4 oz

Directions

Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees. Make sure you have a LARGE skillet that has an oven-proof handle. Brown turkey in the Large skillet. Add sauce, Rotini, milk, water, salt and pepper to taste. Cook on Med-low heat uncovered for 12-15 min. until the pasta is cooked. Top with cheese and bake for 5 minutes until top is brown.

Side note: You can add extra vegies to this recipe very easily... onions, shreded carrots, fresh basil, etc.

The traditional recipe calls for heavy cream and butter, etc. The non-fat milk cooked with the pasta creates a creamy flavorful pasta.
